Mark Flaherty promoted to EVP of Marketing for Warner Records

Mark Flaherty has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Marketing for Warner Records.

Flaherty, who joined the label in 2017, oversees the company’s marketing strategy for its pop, rock, and alternative artist roster.

Based at Warner’s Downtown Los Angeles headquarters, he reports to the label’s Co-Chairman and COO Tom Corson.

Since joining Warner, Flaherty has created and driven marketing campaigns for stars such as Dua Lipa and Bebe Rexha.

In 2018, Rexha garnered dual Grammy nominations, for Best New Artist and for her genre-crossing, No.1 smash, Meant to Be, with Florida Georgia Line.

That same year, Lipa won the Best New Artist Grammy as well as Best Dance Recording for Electricity.

She has gone on to become the first female artist in history to have four songs cross the one billion streams mark on Spotify.

One of those, Don’t Start Now from her newly released album Future Nostalgia, spent a record-breaking 259 days on Today’s Top Hits Spotify playlist, including multiple weeks at No. 1.

Prior to joining Warner Records as SVP/Head of Marketing, Flaherty held the same title at Interscope Records for five years, working with artists such as Imagine Dragons, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, The 1975, One Republic, and Selena Gomez.

He previously worked at Sony Music in various roles, including SVP/Head of Strategic Marketing & Brand Partnerships and SVP of Marketing & Digital Media. Flaherty also has extensive experience as a songwriter, publisher, and performer.

“Mark has played a central role in the revitalization of Warner Records over the past three years.”
