YMU launches US Entertainment division, led by April Tombs

Talent management company YMU has launched a US Entertainment division, under the leadership of agent April Tombs.

The company currently holds offices in Los Angeles, New York and Washington, as well as London and Manchester in the UK.

YMU’s global clients include Steve Aoki, The Rolling Stones, Nick Cave, Pentatonix, Common, Graham Norton, Ant & Dec, Tyler Adams, Clint Dempsey, 3LAU and Slime Sunday.

YMU says the launch of its US Entertainment arm aims to “replicate the success and ambition” of its UK Entertainment division, with the 60+ UK team led by Global MD of YMU Entertainment, Holly Bott.

April Tombs joins YMU after a career at United Talent Agency, where she previously helped navigate partnerships for clients including Hilary Duff, Queen Latifah, Anthony Anderson, Jenna Dewan, and Brooke Shields.

As Managing Director, YMU Entertainment, US, Tombs will be joined at the YMU US offices by two additional appointments – former UTA agent Spencer Goldstein and agent Jared Greenwald from ICM.

Between them, Goldstein and Greenwald have worked with talent including Emily Ratajkowski, Cillian Murphy, Jessica Alba, Laverne Cox, Don Cheadle, Madelyn Cline, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Maitreyi Ramakrisham, Eric Andre and Christopher Walken.

The trio are expected to launch the US Entertainment division with “an impressive client list”, says YMU.

In February the company hired Brad Pophal to the position of Head of Web3 and NFT for YMU US Music.
