Job Description

PPL is inviting applications for the position of Chair of the PPL Board for an initial three-year term, commencing in January 2026. In this role, you will work with the board and the CEO to ensure that the PPL executive management team agrees a corporate strategy with the PPL Board. You will oversee the implementation of the strategy, in line with the organisation’s annual budget.

The successful candidate will lead PPL board meetings and the Annual General Meeting (AGM). You may also be requested to chair Performer Board meetings and the Annual Performer Meeting (APM).

You will support and provide advice to the CEO, helping the organisation maintain its high standards and positive reputation in the industry.

The ideal candidate should have board level experience in music or the creative industries. Previous Chair experience would be advantageous.

The Chair is expected to devote such time as is necessary for the proper performance of the duties required. It is anticipated that the Chair will spend a minimum of the equivalent of five days a month on work for the company.
