The Role
We are looking for an experienced, highly connected Director of Marketing, Promotion & A&R to lead our London presence and play a key role in growing Reliant’s profile across the UK dance music market. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both the creative and commercial aspects of records. You will be expected to identify great music, develop records, build compelling campaigns, and leverage your relationships across UK radio, streaming, media, DJs, tastemakers, and the wider dance music community. The ideal candidate is deeply connected to the UK music ecosystem, has exceptional A&R instincts, and extensive experience across both the creative and marketing/promotion sides of the music business.

Key Responsibilities

Promotion:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with radio, DSPs, DJs, tastemakers, influencers, promoters and industry partners.
• Drive playlist, radio and DSP opportunities.
• Develop targeted promotional strategies for each release.
• Coordinate with Reliant’s North American promotion team to create cohesive global campaigns.

Marketing & Record Strategy

• Develop creative, release and marketing strategies for Reliant releases across the UK.
• Work closely with artists, managers, and creative partners to ensure campaigns are properly executed.
• Identify opportunities across streaming, social, digital, content, media, partnerships and live.
• Monitor market trends, streaming data, playlists, radio and social activity to identify opportunities and adjust campaigns accordingly.
• Work with the wider Reliant team to build international campaigns around records with global potential.

A&R:

• Identify exceptional dance records and develop relationships with artists, managers, songwriters and producers.
• Build and maintain a consistent flow of songwriting sessions, connecting the right artists, songwriters and producers in the studio.
• Attend songwriting sessions, showcases, and relevant dance music industry events.
• Identify strong toplines, productions and opportunities for collaborations, co-releases, licensing, and label partnerships.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of commercially competitive releases.

What We’re Looking For:

• Significant experience in dance music A&R, marketing, promotion, label management or artist development.
• Strong existing relationships across the UK music industry, particularly radio, DSPs, DJs, artists, managers and media.
• Deep understanding of dance music and the current UK market.
• Exceptional A&R instincts and an ability to recognize records with genuine commercial potential.
• Proven experience developing records from early stages through to release.
• Strong understanding of UK radio and the promotional landscape.
• Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, independent and highly motivated.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable operating effectively in a fast-moving, independent environment.
• A strong network is important.
