Description
Publishing Co-ordinator, Warp Publishling
About Us
Warp Publishing is a leading independent music publisher representing a visionary roster of artists, composers, and songwriters. Home to names like Boards of Canada, Slowdive, Khruangbin, Yves Tumor and Death Grips, we are passionate about championing creative autonomy and working closely with our writers to build lasting, global careers. We operate at the cutting edge of contemporary music, and pride ourselves on delivering a dedicated, bespoke service that perfectly balances meticulous administrative care with forward-thinking creative support.
About the Role
This is a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of our Administration and Creative departments. While the core of this position is dedicated to the “detective work” of global copyright management and data integrity, you will also support our fast-paced, outward-facing work in sync, A&R, and marketing.
You will be the connective tissue between our teams, keeping our catalogue data perfectly organised behind the scenes while ensuring our artists and creative wins are highly visible. You will also be a key player in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Copyright & Administration
- Work Entry & Registrations: Enter new works into our Copyright system and assist with CWR registrations to collection societies and sub-publishers around the world.
- Metadata Management: Work directly with clients to chase down missing metadata (writer splits, ISRC codes) to keep our catalogue up to date.
- Live Performance Tracking: Monitor music news, industry publications, the wider web, and platforms like Songkick to keep an eye out for artist tour dates, ensuring setlists are submitted to societies to capture all live performance royalties.
- System & Asset Upkeep: Populate sync monitoring platforms such as Soundmouse & BMAT, manage DISCO metadata while keeping internal playlists tagged and updated with lyrics and artwork.
Creative, Sync & Events
- Licensing First Response: Manage the licensing inbox by vetting global inquiries, handling approvals, and routing requests to the right team members.
- Reporting & Marketing: Compile weekly A&R/sync highlight reports, draft sync mailers, and keep our website and socials (Instagram, Vimeo, Spotify) updated with new signings and artist news.
- Gig Logistics: Handle internal ticket requests, organise guest lists, send out detailed team “gig info” emails, and help organise bi-monthly listening sessions.
- Gig Attendance: Attend shows to support our artists & where applicable help nurture relationships with external clients such as supervisors and industry peers.
- Release Operations: Manage the master release schedule and ensure release day communications go out on time.
Team Support
- Administrative support: Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the wider team to keep everyone aligned and moving forward.
About You
- You are driven by accuracy: You actually enjoy chasing down a missing split and get satisfaction from ensuring all metadata is perfectly logged.
- You are a great communicator: You know how to translate complex artist news into an engaging social post or a concise A&R summary.
- You are proactive: You are comfortable working across different departments and naturally step in to connect the dots between A&R, Sync, and Admin.
- You are a systems thinker: You pick up new databases quickly and feel completely at ease jumping between platforms like Curve, DISCO, and monday.com.
- You thrive in a varied environment: You can seamlessly pivot from deep-focus data entry to drafting marketing copy or coordinating a fast-moving guest list.
- You love independent music: You have a genuine passion for our roster and a keen interest in the mechanics of music publishing.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 3 months, you will have:
- Mastered our core systems and took ownership of the licensing inbox.
- Built a strong working rhythm with both the creative and admin teams.
