Music Business & Catalog Acquisitions Marketing Intern
Seasons Music Group is a music catalog sale and entertainment finance advisory business focused on helping artists, songwriters, producers, and rights holders evaluate and monetize their music assets.
We work across catalog sales, royalty transactions, and related advisory services, partnering with a wide range of industry stakeholders. This internship is designed for someone who wants hands-on experience in the business and marketing side of the music industry, with a specific focus on catalog acquisitions and advisory.
Responsibilities
· Support the development and execution of marketing strategies to increase awareness of Seasons among artists, managers, attorneys, and industry executives.
· Manage and grow the company’s presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant channels, including content calendars and posting cadence.
· Assist with paid media and ad spend management (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, Google), including audience targeting, A/B testing, budget tracking, and performance reporting.
· Create and repurpose content (posts, carousels, one-pagers, short-form video concepts, case-study style spotlights), subject to confidentiality requirements.
· Monitor industry news and catalog deal activity to inform timely thought-leadership content and outreach angles.
· Support basic website and SEO updates to ensure our positioning and services are clearly communicated.
· Help build and maintain prospect and contact lists and assist with light outbound campaigns (email or LinkedIn).
· Track analytics across channels, prepare simple reports, and recommend optimizations based on performance data.
Who is this for
· Interest in the business side of the music industry (publishing, royalties, catalog sales, entertainment finance), not creative or A&R work.
· Relevant coursework a plus: music business, music publishing, finance, accounting, marketing, data analytics, or related fields.
· Comfortable with spreadsheets (Excel/Sheets), basic analytics, and summarizing data into simple insights.
· Strong written communication skills suitable for professional, B2B-facing content and outreach.
· Familiarity with social media and digital marketing concepts (paid ads, targeting, basic metrics like CTR/CPC/engagement).

This is a business, marketing, and analytics-focused role supporting catalog advisory and marketing efforts; it is not a creative, production, or A&R internship, so musicians and creatives looking for studio, songwriting, or artist development experience should not apply.

· Location: Mix of Remote and in-person in Brooklyn, NY
· Hours: 15 to 30 hours a week
· Duration: Through end of summer with possibility of extension into fall
· Compensation: Academic Credit only. Must be current student
