Role: Release Planning Coordinator

Reporting to: Release Planning Manager

Location: London

What you’ll be doing:

The Release Planning and Production department works directly with the [PIAS] in house labels and the Cooperative Label Group to manage the [PIAS] release schedule and place physical manufacturing orders.

Working under the direction of the Release Planning Manager, the role offers the opportunity for you to develop and acquire skills and experience in release planning and production. In this role you will assist in the planning of the [PIAS] release schedule as well as the organisation and processing of all parts required for production and manufacturing.

Key Deliverables:

To ensure the smooth running of release planning and manufacturing for a variety of [PIAS] repertoire.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Update the release planner and all production related tools and databases.
  • Collate and check specifications and production assets provided by the repertoire teams.
  • Clearly communicate deadlines to all stakeholders
  • Ensure that as release dates change that corresponding deadlines are updated and communicated
  • Contribute to production scheduling meetings and chase parts to ensure that dates are met.
  • Work closely with the A&R and repertoire teams to complete all release information and deliver all parts within clearly provided deadlines.
  • Work closely with the [PIAS] production team on the production and timely delivery of physical products.
  • Ensure issues are raised with Release Planning Manager and contribute ideas for solutions
  • Assist the Release Planning manager on all aspects of reissues and back catalogue campaigns where required.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • 1+ year experience in an operations role that has involved working to deadlines, preferably in music
  • Experience of taking meeting notes with clearly defined action points
  • Excellent communication skills – in person, by email and online calls.
  • Being organised and demonstrating an affinity with problem solving.
  • Experience of work where a high degree of attention to detail/accuracy is essential.
  • Methodical approach to work and experience of having to deliver to deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize own workload.
  • Enthusiasm and keenness to learn.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Desirable:

  • Experience and / or knowledge of physical music production.
  • Experience of music research work/label copy or production background.
