You will join us as a Label Operations Coordinator – Catalog Releases, serving as the central liaison across Business Affairs, Copyright, Operations, and Finance. You will manage recording projects from development to release—overseeing rights research, budget tracking, contract coordination, and metadata management to ensure seamless execution of audio and audiovisual releases.

To be successful, you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in music business, entertainment law, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years in record label operations, music project management, or music contract administration, or A&R Admin.
• Solid experience with music industry contracts, including recording agreements, licensing, distribution, and royalty structures; preferred experience interpreting artist and producer royalty provisions.
• Solid knowledge of music rights, copyright, licensing, and music publishing, with hands-on experience in budget tracking, P&L management, and royalty reporting.
• Proficiency in music metadata systems, project management tools, and industry platforms, with solid organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across global teams and travel as needed; preferred familiarity with international music rights, clearances, and cross-border release processes.

Your responsibilities as the Label Operations Coordinator will include:

• Track and manage recording budgets, P&Ls, royalty structures, and mechanical licensing requirements across music projects and releases.
• Conduct rights research, including contract review, catalog history, and third-party clearance identification for legacy recordings and new releases.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Business Affairs, Legal, Finance, and label partners to ensure compliance with music rights, licensing, and contractual obligations.
• Maintain and organize music metadata, recording project data, contracts, and release information within internal systems and industry platforms.
• Communicate with artist teams, producers, and external stakeholders to support project timelines, issue resolution, and release execution.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, years of relevant experience, business needs, and the candidate’s overall qualifications for the position as assessed by Primary Wave. The salary range is subject to change at any time and depends on internal and external factors.
