Description

In this role, you will support the Finance & Royalties Manager across all aspects of the company’s financial and royalty operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in music industry finance and rights management.

Responsibilities

– Raise and issue sales and invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
– Collect and process purchase invoices and receipts.
– Bank and credit card reconciliations ensuring a high-level of accuracy.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial and royalty-related documentation.
– Collect and organise receipts and invoices from clients and internal teams.
– Support the preparation and monitoring of tour and project budgets.
– Analyse large volumes of royalty statements to ensure accurate reporting and payments.
– Prepare vendor documentation to help ensure clients are paid in a timely manner.
– Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support financial decision making.
– Manage and deal with queries in the accounts and royalties’ inboxes.
– Assist with queries from accountants and clients.
Skills and qualifications

– Strong numerical and analytical skills.
– High attention to detail and accuracy.
– Problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
– Ability to manage and reconcile large volumes of financial data.
– Proactive, with the ability to multitask and work on own initiative.
– Excellent organisational and time management skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
– Experience using accounting software, ideally Xero.
– Knowledge of PRS, PPL and royalty accounting.
– Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes

Solar has an open office environment, teamwork is essential and this is mainly an office based role although some hybrid working is possible
