Description
Chrysalis Records/Blue Raincoat Music is a leading independent music company headquartered in London and New York. Along with our US partner Reservoir Media, we own the legendary Chrysalis and Tommy Boy catalogues, and we also represent artists through our management arm Blue Raincoat Artists, and publishing via Blue Raincoat Music Publishing.
We are seeking an Audience Development Manager to join our marketing team. As Audience Development Manager you will play a central role in devising, executing and optimising digital marketing strategies across a diverse artist roster — from developing talent to established acts. Sitting within the Marketing team, you will work collaboratively across Digital Partnerships, A&R and Commercial teams to deliver impactful, data-informed campaigns that grow audiences, communities and deepen engagement and fandom.
This role is both strategic and hands-on: you will translate overarching Marketing campaign objectives into effective digital plans, manage day-to-day execution, and ensure campaigns are delivered on time and on brief. You will contribute creative ideas, identify audience opportunities, and use data insights to continuously refine performance.
The role will be based in London, UK and you’ll work within the UK marketing team, reporting into the Director of Digital Partnerships.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Plan and deliver integrated, creative, digital marketing campaigns aligned with release strategies and artist goals, set by the Marketing Team.
- Working closely alongside Marketing Managers and the Product team, you’ll devise appropriate, digital release strategies for new releases, re-releases and streaming initiatives.
- Ensure campaigns are insight-led, audience-focused and culturally relevant, using available data and market knowledge.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with digital media, creative agencies, creators and any new entrants to the industry.
CRM & Fan Growth
- Build CRM-driven engagement plans (pre-save, email, SMS, audience segmentation) to grow fan databases and release performance.
- Deploy automation and acquisition tactics to strengthen fan journeys and retention.
- Work with artists and label to develop their positioning, content pillars, tone of voice and connection to fans online across social & short-form video platforms, eCRM & community platforms.
- Coordinate the hiring and management of any external audience & social teams, ensuring they have clear KPI’s and provide regularly reporting updates for the team.
Data & Insight
- Set data-driven targets for audience and community growth while aligning with broader commercial goals.
- Track, analyse and report regularly on campaign KPIs using data tools (e.g. Chartmetric, Meta Business Suite, EI, DSP dashboards etc).
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for artists, managers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Digital Ad booking team, on advertising planning, asset delivery and oversee performance optimisation, to maximise ROAS.
- Maintain financial discipline with advertising budgets, while identifying opportunities to drive additional revenue and audience growth.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3–5 years’ experience in music industry, audience / digital marketing, agency, or related entertainment environment.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms, fan engagement behaviours, and release workflows.
- Experience with paid media channels (e.g., Meta, TikTok, YouTube) and CRM tools.
- Proven ability to translate data into strategy and optimisation.
- Experienced in working with third-party agencies, freelancers, influencers and content creators, with a strong network of pre-existing relationships
- Experienced in managing and growing artist and labels owned channels (website, CRM, fan clubs) and 1st party databases, with a good working understanding of data rights and GDPR.
- Data-driven with strong first-hand experience of using various artist-owned and third-party data sources to create reports and analyses and report these back internally
- Exceptional interpersonal, confident and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and balance priorities
- Excellent time-management, organisational skills and strong attention to detail
To the nature of this role, you will be required to attend shows and events in the evenings and on weekends.
