Title: Senior Manager, Finance (Record Label & Distribution)
Reports to: VP, FP&A
Location: New York, NY (On-Site, 5 days a week in office)

The Role:
Roc Nation is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance who will own the P&L and financial operations for Roc Nation’s record label and music distribution businesses. This individual will act as both a strategic thought partner and a hands-on operator — equally comfortable building long-range forecasts as they are untangling complex variances or improving backend systems.
This is an ideal role for a high-energy problem solver who brings a can-do mindset, exceptional organization skills, and the ability to see how people, processes, and systems connect. You will not simply report the numbers — you will synthesize the information and work with cross-functional teams to solve problems and influence decisions.
Responsibilities:
P&L Ownership & Financial Leadership
- Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L for the record label and distribution businesses
- Partner closely with label leadership, A&R, and distribution teams to provide financial guidance and accountability
- Analyze revenue streams including recorded music, digital distribution, licensing, and royalties
- Deliver clear variance analysis with actionable insights, not just explanations
Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning
- Work with FP&A regarding annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
- Work with FP&A and Corporate Development to collectively build and maintain financial models that reflect artist advances, release schedules, and market trends
- Evaluate profitability by artist, project, and distribution partner
- Support greenlight decisions, investment analysis, and scenario planning
Financial Operations & Controls
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accruals, close processes, and financial reviews in collaboration p with wider accounting team
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment for advances, recoupment, royalties, and revenue share agreements
- Partner with accounting to maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness
- Identify risks and implement proactive solutions
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as the primary finance partner to business leads
- Translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights
- Build trust across the records and distribution team through responsiveness and follow-through
- Support finance transformation projects, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc analysis as needed
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of progressive finance experience
- Strong ownership experience managing a P&L
- Background in entertainment, music, media, or digital distribution strongly preferred
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Expert proficiency in Excel; working experience with ERP systems and planning tools
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial operations

The expected compensation for this position is:
$120,000.00 USD – $150,000.00 USD
** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
