Description

Title: Associate, FP&A

Reports to: VP, FP&A

Location: New York, NY (On-Site, 5 days a week in office)

Who are we?

Roc Nation is a full-service entertainment company founded on the belief that creativity and business excellence should move together. With businesses spanning artist management, recorded music, publishing, touring, sports, and brand partnerships, Roc Nation operates at the intersection of culture, strategy, and scale.

Our finance organization plays a critical role in supporting this ecosystem by ensuring operational precision, strong controls, and forward-thinking systems that facilitate the business to move fast and responsibly.

The Role:

Roc Nation is seeking an FP&A Associate that will own the full, company-wide P&L and cash flow for Roc Nation’s various business lines. This individual will act as both a strategic thought partner and a hands-on operator — equally comfortable building long-range forecasts, as they are untangling complex problems and improving backend systems.

This is an ideal role for a high-energy problem solver who brings a can-do mindset, exceptional organization skills, and the ability to see how people, processes, and systems connect. You will not simply report the numbers — you will synthesize the information and work cross-functionally to solve problems and influence decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L and cash flow forecasting for the entire company
Partner with the VP of FP&A on ad-hoc analyses
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and operational planning
  • Analyze performance across multiple business verticals including records & distribution, talent management, sports representation, merch, etc.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting packages and dashboards with clear narratives and actionable insights
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and proactively recommend solutions
  • Support ad hoc analysis related to artist deals, tours, investments, and new business opportunities
  • Continuously improve financial processes, models, and systems with a systems-thinking mindset
  • Collaborate closely with accounting to ensure alignment between actuals, forecasts, and cash flow timing
  • Maintain a high level of organization across models, assumptions, and deliverables in a deadline-driven environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Strong ownership experience managing multiple P&Ls
  • Background in entertainment, music, media, or digital distribution strongly preferred
  • Investment banking experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Growing proficiency in Excel; working experience with ERP systems and planning tools (BPC is a plus)
  • Ability to build clean, structured, and scalable models
  • Good understanding of accrual accounting and financial operations

Skills:

  • Problem Solver: Sees ambiguity as an opportunity, not a roadblock
  • Can-Do Attitude: Jumps in, figures it out, involve the right people, and moves things forward
  • Exceptionally Organized: Manages complexity without dropping details and able to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Systems Thinker: Understands how tools, data, and people connect end-to-end
  • Clear Communicator: Able to simplify complex concepts for finance stakeholders
  • High Ownership Mentality: Treats the business as if it were their own
  • Coachable: Curious and motivated to continuously level up technical and analytical skills

Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.

Benefits & Perks

HEALTH: Medical, vision, dental and mental health benefits for you and your family with access to a health care concierge and Flexible or Health Savings Accounts (FSA or HSA)

YOURSELF: Free concert tickets, generous paid time off including paid holidays, sick time and floating days

CAREER: Career and skill development programs with School of Live

WEALTH: 401(k) program with company match
