Senior Social Strategy & Content (Contractor)

Employment Duration: 3-6 months

Estimated Monthly Compensation Range: $8,000 – $10,000/month

Hours Per Week: 40

Role Overview

The Senior Social Strategy & Content Contractor opportunity will facilitate translating Raedio’s brand and content strategy into high performing, platform native social execution across priority platforms. This role has oversight of social performance, audience growth, and insight-driven optimization ensuring Raedio’s social presence is culturally fluent, intentional, and scalable.

This is a senior, hands-on opportunity focused on strategy, taste, growth, and accountability – not just publishing. The role leads social planning and execution while partnering closely with key stakeholders to support Raedio’s broader brand, content, and community goals.

Core Responsibilities

Social Strategy, Planning & Performance

  • Translate Raedio’s overarching brand and content strategy, set by leadership into platform specific social plans, execution priorities, and performance insights.
  • Lead social publishing cadence, platform prioritization, and innovation roadmap across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and emerging platforms.
  • Lead content planning and develop and maintain an integrated monthly social media calendar.
  • Track and report all social performance against defined KPIs.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that optimize engagement, audience growth, and long-term brand equity.
  • Oversight of A/B testing, reporting, and continuous optimization across platforms.
  • Prioritize platforms, formats, and initiatives based on performance data, resources, and strategic impact.

Content & Creative Direction (Social First)

  • Lead development of social-first content formats across music, lifestyle, and culture.
  • Develop and evolve Raedio’s social content strategy across all owned platforms.
  • Translate cultural moments, trends, and IRL experiences into compelling short-form and long-form content ideas.
  • Ensure consistent tone of voice and brand personality across platforms, partnering closely with the Social Editor to maintain quality, clarity, and cultural fluency.
  • Support Maintenance for cultural relevance, authenticity, and creative quality at an optimal level.

Selective Content Capture & Production Oversight

  • Capture lightweight, in-the-moment content (BTS, events, artist moments, IRL culture moments)
  • Oversight of content production and coordinate shoots (short- and long-form) as needed, partnering with internal teams, freelancers, creators, or vendors depending on scope
  • Lead editing workflows and creative quality in collaboration with the Social Editor
  • Prioritize production approach based on strategic value, timelines, and available resources.

Audience Growth & Community Support

  • Drive meaningful two-way engagement and support authentic community growth.
  • Analyze audience behavior, retention, and campaign performance to inform strategy.
  • Identify emerging trends, creators, platforms, and cultural shifts relevant to Raedio’s audience.
  • Translate audience insights into content and growth opportunities.

Management, Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  • Lead collaborations with contract editors, designers, and production crews.
  • Partner with Raedio Leadership & Sales teams to support decks, concept development, sizzle reels, and branded content ideas.
  • Support IP development for events, community activations, and experiential moments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to capture IRL content tied to events, partnerships, and cultural moments.
  • Present performance insights, strategies, and creative ideas to internal leadership and external partners as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in social strategy, digital content, music, or culture-driven storytelling.
  • Direct experience working in music and/or with artists, talent, or music-led brands.
  • Must have strong expertise across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X
  • Strong creative taste and cultural fluency across music, pop culture, and internet trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to build content that resonates with female audiences.
  • Hands-on experience producing and editing social first content, especially short form video.
  • Proven ability to grow digital audiences through performance driven experimentation and optimization.
  • Experience leading or coordinating cross functional initiatives across social, content, events, and partnerships.
  • Experience in AirTable and project management tools is a plus.
