We’re seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and sharp Publicity Manager to support our publicity efforts by tracking press coverage, crafting compelling press materials, and amplifying our artists and initiatives. If you’re ready to bring a strong work ethic, curiosity, and professionalism to a hybrid role in our New York office, we’d love for you to join the Primary Wave team supporting our Senior VP of Publicity.

To be successful, you should have:
• 4+ years’ experience in music publicity, including artist management and music publishing, event production, and any related roles in the music industry
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Established relationships with the media are helpful
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong time-management skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible working hours outside of regular business hours when needed for events and other projects
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Sharp attention to detail with an ability to multitask
• Ability to maintain strict discretion and confidentiality of sensitive business matters.

Your responsibilities as the Publicity Manager will include:
• Support the department head with daily publicity needs, announcements, and corporate press initiatives.
• Oversee and coordinate press efforts for the talent management roster, including tours, album releases, and related campaigns.
• Pitch and manage media outreach for music releases and publishing-related announcements.
• Organize and maintain materials, assets, and information essential to the publicity department.
• Liaise with external publicity firms and travel as needed for business purposes.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, years of relevant experience, business needs, and the candidate’s overall qualifications for the position as assessed by Primary Wave. The salary range is subject to change at any time and depends on internal and external factors.
