Description

The Sales Manager for Soundly Music will be responsible for working with digital and
physical retail accounts to bring our releases to market in accordance with artists’ and
leadership’s goals.

You will be responsible for building relationships with key retail
partners, communicating marketing drivers, and seeking out opportunities to help
maximize visibility for our releases. This person will also be responsible for working
closely with our distribution partners at The Orchard, ensuring we are working as a team
to elevate our releases, as well as facilitating timely product setup.

TN, servicing a multi-genre client base with support across project management,
marketing, sales, advertising, and retail strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities
● Work closely with digital and physical retail partners to develop key relationships
and maximize opportunities for our roster
● Communicate priority releases and drivers to The Orchard sales team to help
further our efforts at retail
● Oversee and communicate retail best practices to clients, including use of digital
retail tools, DSP profile optimization, and artist’s messaging about releases
● Develop and manage co-op plans to help promote and position our releases at
key physical retail accounts
● Oversee product strategy and manufacturing needs along with physical
production coordinator
● Assist with inventory management and help initiate stock reorders as needed

● Collaborate on marketing initiatives to help increase engagement and
consumption across digital and physical retailers
● Monitor and track key engagement metrics, and communicate to the team to help
further optimize marketing efforts
● Set up releases within The Orchard’s system and ensure timely delivery of album
assets and physical product

Qualifications
● 3-5 years of experience working in the music business with a background in
sales, marketing, or similar field
● Awareness of music industry trends, best practices, retail platforms and
marketing strategies
● Ability to analyze key sales and streaming metrics at the level needed to turn
data into action
● Desire to be proactive, resourceful, and willing to take initiative to solve problems
and seek opportunities
● Organized self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
● Attention to detail and time management
