We are seeking to recruit an outstanding professional to join our Licensing team in Santa Monica or New York City. Wise Music Group / G. Home to a vast catalog spanning both pop and classical music, Wise Music functions as a full-service music publisher and copyright administrator with a focus on promoting and exploiting their copyrights in the film, television, trailers, and advertising world.

Summary – Manager of Sync Licensing Role:

Wise Music is seeking a Manager of Sync Licensing to be part of the Synchronization team. The ideal candidate is passionate about music and has experience with various types of licenses including Film, TV, and Internet Streaming. This role will be working closely with the Synchronization team leadership, and other department members both in New York and Los Angeles.

Responsibilities Include:

· The ideal applicant will be able to independently manage the end-to-end process of clearing synchronization requests for Internet, Film, TV, Podcasts, and other miscellaneous projects. This includes collecting client requests, obtaining approvals, quoting fees, and negotiating licensing terms with clients. Execution of micro-synchronization licensing work (streaming of concerts, new media, and other miscellaneous requests). Effective interpersonal skills are essential.

· Drafting synchronization and master recording licenses for streaming projects as needed.

· Support the team in meeting its annual revenue targets. Also, follow up with targeted clients to resolve outstanding invoices and keep payments current (tracking)

· Develop and manage relationships with co-publishers, master owners and industry-related clients to increase the number of inbound sync requests and ultimately the total number of sync deals.

Minimum Qualification:

· 3+ years of music licensing and clearance experience with various media in a fast-paced licensing environment: Clearance Houses, Publishers, Record Labels, Television Networks, Advertising Agencies

· High competency in music licensing and/or business affairs, with experience in TV, Advertising, Film or Streaming Content

· High competency in negotiating license agreements

· Experience in drafting license agreements is a plus

· Resourceful, action and detail-oriented, with a high ownership mindset to deliver measurable impact.

· High level of professional communication etiquette with ability to effectively while interacting with clients

· Demonstrated ability to work independently, within a team-oriented environment, and able to juggle multiple projects at once

· Strong organization skills, high attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time

· Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Excel, knowledge of Counterpoint/iMaestro, Salesforce is a plus.

· Resourceful, action and detail-oriented, with a high ownership mindset to deliver measurable impact

· A strong work ethic and strives to make a positive impact on overall Sync department and company priorities.

· Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or experience in a related field

Salary range $80-90k.
