The Royalty Law Firm, PLLC is a boutique music law firm built to redefine what a modern law firm looks like. Publicly, we are “the first law firm built for music producers.” In a market this crowded, owning one clear box in people’s mind is the best marketing strategy.

In practice, we handle the full range of music industry work. We negotiate against the biggest artists and music companies in the business, recover millions in unpaid royalties, and make sure the creatives we represent get paid what they are owed.

While still in law school, our founder built Producer Royalty into the leading master royalty administrator for producers and education platforms to learn the business. Then used that brand to launch the firm this year. Like Producer Royalty, the firm is built for today’s digital ecosystem: AI-assisted drafting and review, proprietary case management systems and portals, automated case and royalty tracking, a content engine that brings clients to us, etc.. The goal is to make this firm the most important name in producer-side representation while building the systems that best support a niche community.

The next few years are going to be a ride. We want someone who wants to help write the story.

The Opportunity

This is not a mid sized firm entertainment position where you do busy work and wait years to own the deal process. You will work directly with the founder on matters involving major artists, labels, publishers, managers, and distributors, and you will run those matters yourself.

You will be one of the firm’s earliest associates, and we do not take that lightly. We are investing in you as an attorney and as a future partner. Every client you bring in earns you a competitive split (bar permitting), so you build a real book of business inside our brand while keeping the stability that comes with employment.

You also get a seat at the table for the parts of building a firm that most mid-levels never touch: brand and content as a client engine, partnership strategy, systems design, and what it takes to scale a niche practice without losing quality.

Your Average Week

• Drafting, redlining, and negotiating producer, management, side artist, publishing, recording, distribution, and licensing agreements
• Leading or co-leading client calls and negotiations
• Advising on deal structure, rights, and royalty issues
• Copyright and trademark counseling and registrations
• Managing matters end to end: intake through execution and follow-up
• Refining firm templates, playbooks, and workflows
• Mentoring clerks and junior support as the team grows
• Business development and client conversion where it fits naturally
