SENIOR ARTIST DAY-TO-DAY MANAGER – FULL TIME
LOCATION: LA / Sydney
OVERVIEW
OURNESS is a globally award-winning independent music label and management company. We specialise in artist development and building a legacy inspired culture for our artist roster.
The rapidly expanding success of our current artists and soon to be expanded roster means we are looking to add to our team.
This role requires deep artist management experience of 4+ years across high-profile artists.
You will have strong existing relationships across the global music industry and understand the pace and entrepreneurial thinking that is required to deliver the highest quality artist projects.
This is the ideal role for someone who is an independent thinker, as well as a strong team player, as we take OURNESS to the next level of growth.
REPORTING: Co-founder/Artist Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as senior day-to-day manager for select artists owning execution of end-to-end campaign, touring and brand activity
- Co-ordinate diary management across time zones, travel, visas and complex promotional schedules
- Lead the OURNESS day-to-day relationship with stakeholders including attending label meetings, building trust across their marketing, promo, digital and A&R teams, ensuring tight alignment between label and management
- You will have strong financial literacy and be able to manage settlements, budgets and logistics for live activity
- Drive campaign execution on-ground – coordinating label marketing rollouts, press and radio activity, DSP activations and content delivery against agreed timelines
- Travel with artists for key moments – performances, press, label visits and brand activations, acting as their primary representative on the ground
- Work alongside the Artist Manager and the Tour Manager on live performance strategy, US touring logistics and routing decisions
- Identify and bring forward strategic opportunities for artists – brand partnerships, sync, collaborations, cultural moments – for founder discussion and approval
- Extensive experience dealing with on-ground content creators and ensuring key assets are delivered correctly and efficiently to the appropriate teams
- Bridge communication between external partners, the artists and OURNESS, ensuring direction is relayed accurately and consistently
- Work closely with the internal creative and digital teams on campaign timelines, asset delivery and global alignment
- Have strong social media skills and be able to update artists’ channels, having discernment around the cultural relevance and visual storytelling to ensure the artist’s brand is maintained
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 4+ years experience in artist management, with significant time managing or working closely with artists
- Existing relationships across the music industry – major labels, DSPs, agencies, PR, sync, touring
- Track record running successful campaigns in the US market with major label partners
- Strong people skills with the ability to build trust quickly across labels, partners and artists
- Strong computer literacy including Excel, AI tools and social media
- Comfortable operating autonomously across time zones in a founder-led, growing independent business
- Calm, organised and discreet
- Strong ability to think outside the box and create cut through for our artists
