Royalties Adminstrator, BMG
Your Mission
At BMG, artists and songwriters come first. As our new Royalties Administrator, you’ll play a direct role in making that promise real, managing the royalty flows that turn streams, sales and performances into actual income for artists and rights holders across the Benelux.
Based in our Hilversum office and working closely with our Copyright and A&R teams, you’ll take full ownership of the royalty process for Benelux, ensuring distributions from Buma/Stemra, SABAM and Sena are processed correctly and that every rights holder is paid accurately and on time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Process monthly distributions from Buma/Stemra and SABAM in our royalty system and generate client statements
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, corrections and unmatched suspense amounts
- Maintain income tracking and proactively flag deviations or overdue receipts
- Handle statement queries and A&R requests through Jira
- Conduct quarterly SAP reconciliations, statement checks and cash matching
- Prepare monthly investment reports
- Link products to the correct clients in collaboration with colleagues
What We’re Looking For
- You are the ideal candidate if you thrive on structure, deadlines and precision work. You like processes that
- are accurate down to the last cent. You also recognise yourself in the following:
- Proven experience in financial or royalty administration, ideally in music or entertainment
- The kind of attention to detail that catches what others miss, especially under month-end pressure
- Advanced Excel skills across reconciliations, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH and large datasets
- The ability to translate complex royalty questions into clear, straightforward answers for A&R teams and artists
- A proactive streak: you flag problems and suggest improvements before anyone has to ask
- Fluency in Dutch and English, written and spoken
- A talent for managing priorities within a tight, recurring monthly rhythm
