Description

Publishing Operations Lead, Arctic Studio

Remote (Europe), UK preferred
Part-time (approximately 8–16 hours per week to start)

Arctic Studio is looking for a Publishing Operations Lead to help manage and shape the operational backbone of our publishing business.

This is a hands-on role for someone who already understands publishing administration, rights management, royalty collection, and publishing operations. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership from day one while helping us continue to build the systems, processes, and infrastructure behind a growing catalog of songwriters, composers, and rights holders.

What You’ll Own

  • Publishing registrations and rights administration
  • Royalty collection workflows across publishing societies, PROs, and collection partners
  • Catalog, ownership, and metadata accuracy
  • Processing royalties, reconciling payments, and distributing songwriter statements
  • Support for royalty operations across both publishing and master rights
  • Monitoring registrations, disputes, claims, and collection performance
  • Improving systems, documentation, and operational workflows
  • Supporting onboarding of songwriters, catalogs, and rights holders
  • Working closely with leadership on publishing operations, rights management, and collection strategy

Who You Are

  • You have hands-on experience managing publishing administration, rights management, royalty operations, or similar responsibilities
  • You have direct experience working with PRS for Music and publishing administration workflows
  • You understand registrations, ownership splits, royalty collection, and rights management
  • You have worked with publishing societies, collection organizations, and royalty systems
  • You are comfortable operating independently and taking ownership without constant supervision
  • You enjoy creating structure, solving problems, and improving processes
  • You care about details without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • You communicate clearly and professionally in English

Bonus Points

  • Experience with MLC, ASCAP, BMI, SOCAN, MCPS, or similar organizations
  • Experience with Curve Royalty Systems or similar platforms
  • Experience resolving disputes, overclaims, and ownership conflicts
  • Experience building or improving operational workflows and documentation

Why This Role Exists

This is not a role where you simply process registrations and follow predefined workflows.

We’re looking for someone who wants to help build the systems, processes, and foundations behind a growing publishing and rights operation.

You’ll be trusted to take ownership, improve what already exists, challenge assumptions when needed, and help create clarity where there isn’t any.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to have a meaningful impact on how the business evolves over the coming years.
