Description
We are looking for a talented Marketing Manager to join the MPA Group, responsible for delivering creative, strategic and impactful integrated marketing activity across a diverse range of audiences and channels.
The Role
Reporting to the MPA Managing Director, the Marketing Manager will play a central role in planning and delivering the MPA Group’s marketing activity, ensuring it is consistently aligned to business strategies and delivered with the right methods, tone and nuance to drive brand awareness, member engagement and campaign effectiveness across digital and physical channels.
What You’ll Do
Marketing Strategy Delivery
- Develop and implement marketing plans that translate the MPA Group’s strategic priorities into effective, nuanced activity across all channels, enhancing brand awareness, member engagement and campaign effectiveness.
- Work in close partnership with the Communications Manager to maintain a shared communications and marketing calendar, ensuring integrated and well-timed activity across all channels.
- Analyse customer insights, competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities and inform the marketing strategy.
- Prepare marketing updates for the MPA Board and relevant subsidiary boards, presenting when required.
Digital Marketing and Content
- Plan, deliver and optimise digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, SEO/SEM and the MPA Group’s websites, managing and maintaining website content to ensure it remains relevant, accurate and up to date.
- Develop and deliver the MPA’s social media strategy and content, maximising reach and engagement across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X.
- Produce and distribute member and stakeholder newsletters.
- Manage the MPA’s CRM and email marketing tools, including CiViCRM, Mailchimp and Google Analytics, using data to inform and improve campaign performance.
Content and Design
- Produce engaging content and creative assets for a range of formats and audiences, including event materials, invitations, adverts, social media posts, presentations and digital campaigns.
- Apply content design principles to all marketing outputs, ensuring materials are visually clear, on-brand and accessible across digital and print formats.
- Photograph MPA Group’s events and produce video content where required, including filming and editing for digital and event use.
Reporting and Evaluation
- Interpret data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activity, making data-driven decisions to optimise performance.
- Provide regular marketing performance reports to the leadership team, tracking progress against objectives.
- Monitor industry trends and digital marketing developments to ensure the MPA Group’s approach remains current and effective.
Events and Outreach
- Support the marketing and promotional elements of MPA Group’s events, working closely with the Sponsorship and Events Manager to ensure events are well promoted and effectively covered.
- Represent the MPA Group at external events as required.
About You
Experience and Knowledge
- Substantial experience in a marketing role, with a track record of planning and delivering successful campaigns aligned to organisational strategy across multiple channels and audiences.
- Demonstrated experience managing digital marketing activity including social media, email campaigns, SEO/SEM and website content.
- Experience working with marketing and CRM platforms, including WordPress, Mailchimp, Google Analytics and CiViCRM, or similar. Experience producing creative content and design assets, with proficiency in tools such as Canva, Photoshop or InDesign.
- Experience working collaboratively within a small team, with the ability to flex across tasks as the organisation’s needs evolve.
Skills and Competencies
- An innovative approach and creative flair for content and campaign creation, with an appetite for challenging conventions and producing fresh, engaging material for diverse audiences.
- Ability to adapt marketing approach across different audience types and commercial contexts, including member and stakeholder engagement and product or service-led marketing.
- Understanding of content design principles, with an eye for visual hierarchy, accessibility and brand consistency across digital and print formats.
- Ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to improve campaign performance.
Effective organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload to tight deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage clearly and professionally across a range of internal and external audiences.
A proactive, strategic mindset; able to identify opportunities beyond immediate tasks, act on them without being prompted, and keep activity moving in line with the MPA Group’s objectives.
Desirable
- Experience working within or alongside a trade association, membership body or not-for-profit organisation.
Photography and videography (including filming and editing) skills.
Package
- Salary £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
