Wise Music Group / G. Schirmer Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Royalty & Income Analyst to join our team in either our California or New York office.

Our catalog spans both pop and classical repertoire, and we operate as a full-service publisher and copyright administrator across performance, film, television, trailers, and advertising.

Job Overview

The Senior Royalty & Income Analyst is responsible for overseeing and analyzing royalty income streams across a global catalog, ensuring accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and delivering financial insights to management and finance teams.

This role requires a highly detail-oriented professional who can work independently, collaborate across departments, and contribute to improving internal systems and processes. The position also includes supervising team members and providing mentorship within the department.

Responsibilities

Monitor and track royalty income across multiple sources

Identify and recover missing or underreported income

Reconcile royalty statements with internal systems and resolve discrepancies

Collaborate with legal and accounting teams to ensure contractual compliance

Investigate internal and external systems to validate income flows and correct data issues

Generate regular financial reports on royalty income and distributions

Develop and improve tracking systems, workflows, and procedures

Present analysis and findings to senior management

Support financial audits related to royalty income

Work with global affiliates and third parties to improve international income tracking

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

3–7+ years of experience in music publishing income tracking or royalties

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Proficiency with financial and data tools (Tableau, Snowflake, Ultrex, iMaestro)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of music publishing rights and intellectual property

Experience with royalty and income tracking systems

Compensation

$100,000 – $140,000 (exempt, salaried)
