peermusic Neighbouring Rights (NR) specializes in collecting royalties for performers and record producers worldwide, predominantly arising from neighbouring rights. These rights accrue to performers and record producers when music recordings to which they’ve contributed, or financed the production of, are played in public. Peermusic NR represents a diverse range of artists and record producers, spanning numerous genres and cultures.

About the role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Assistant to join our team in Montreal. As an Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations team by managing data entry tasks within our Client and Catalogue STORM database. You will be responsible for overseeing performer and rights owner repertoire claims with various collecting societies worldwide and assisting in repertoire imports and matching.

Responsibilities:

– Manage performer and rights owner repertoire imports into the Client and Catalogue database (STORM).

– Provide support and updates to colleagues regarding registration processes within peermusicNR.

– Handle performer and rights owner repertoire claims and registrations with multiple collecting societies globally.

– Assist in matching repertoire to ensure accurate data management.

– Respond to general inquiries related to repertoire claims.

– Liaise with clients, colleagues, and collection societies to resolve operational issues.

Requirements:

– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.

– Proficiency in data entry and managing large datasets, particularly in Excel.

– Tech-savvy with analytical skills to handle metadata effectively.

– Ability to diligently complete repetitive tasks accurately.

– Some knowledge and understanding of music rights administration is preferred.
