Description

Job Title: Social Media Manager (Music & Brands)
Company: Beautiful Digital
Location: Flexible (UK-based, remote working available – with trips to London for meetings)
Salary: Dependent on experience (mid-weight)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a mid-weight Social Media Manager to join the Beautiful Digital team in the UK.

This role must straddle both worlds: music and brands. The right candidate will have hands-on experience running socials for artists as well as delivering for brand clients. If you’ve only done one side, this won’t be the right fit.

Within your first months, you’ll take ownership of key accounts, lead strategies, and deliver campaigns from ideation to reporting. There’s space for fast growth into a Senior Social Media Manager. Everyone who works at BD has a 2 year development plan.

You’ll work across a roster of artists, brands and entertainment clients, owning day-to-day social, building strategies and delivering campaigns that actually move the needle.

You’ll be part of a remote (and lovely) team across the UK.. We don’t mind where you’re logging in from, as long as you can collaborate well, communicate clearly and get into London when needed. You’ll work closely with a cross-disciplinary team and may mentor junior coordinators on some accounts.

This role reports into our Head of Social in the UK

WHO WE ARE

We are a social media agency providing distinct complete digital strategy and creative solutions for global artists and brands.

We work with artists and brands to create cross-platform strategies of continual storytelling. We provide the highest quality content, holistic plans and updates to activate core audiences and cultivate new fans across the globe.

We use the latest media and technology to build beautiful digital profiles for our partners. We deliver impactful, memorable campaigns for some of the biggest artists and brands in music and entertainment.

As a creative agency, we are dedicated to forward thinking concepts and innovations. We believe that every client is unique and there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to digital strategy. We are passionate about what we do and that’s how we can offer an unrivalled service to our clients.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Social Media Manager responsibilities:

  • Manage high-profile artist and brand accounts day-to-day
  • Own social channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, GIPHY and others where relevant)
  • Build clear, practical digital strategies and content plans
  • Lead client calls and regular check-ins, and be a trusted point of contact
  • Develop and deliver campaign ideas (from reactive moments to full campaigns)
  • Spot opportunities on emerging platforms and formats where it makes sense for the client
  • Brief and work with our in-house design, video and motion teams on content
  • Write and edit copy that feels native to platform and audience
  • Build and maintain content calendars and timelines
  • Support with new business pitches, case studies and creds
  • Pull and interpret performance reports, audience data and demographics into usable insights
  • Work with the broader team (incl. paid) to align organic and paid social activity
  • Stay on top of platform updates, trends and best practice – and filter what actually matters

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

We’re looking for:

  • Essential: experience running social for both music clients and brand clients — this role requires someone who can confidently switch between artist campaigns and brand-world briefs
  • Third-level education or above (or equivalent experience at a comparable level). Focus on communication or media a major plus
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital / social within music (label, artist, management, promoter, or agency side)
  • Experience managing social for artists or entertainment brands, not just posting to a channel
  • Solid understanding of the digital music landscape (release cycles, DSPs, fan behaviour)
  • Comfortable leading on accounts: owning plans, timelines and client communication
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms and how fans behave on each
  • Experience with scheduling / monitoring tools (e.g. Sprout, Later, Hootsuite, native tools etc.)
  • Experience building and delivering social media strategy, not just execution
  • Strong eye for content: what works, why it works, and how to make it better
  • Confident in creating reports, pulling key insights and translating them into next steps.
  • Good organisational and time management skills – able to keep multiple plates spinning
  • Brand / non-music campaign experience not just a plus, but a core part of this role
  • You must be a sharp writer — fluent in platform-native tone, captions, comments and scripts

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Creative thinker who can take any brief – artist or brand – and crack it with clarity, originality and common sense
  • Senior enough to write smart, practical strategies (not fluff) and stand behind them
  • Exceptional communicator — concise, confident and able to hold a room, whether it’s an artist or brand client
  • Impeccable organisation and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
  • Calm under pressure, with good judgement on what actually matters
  • Collaborative, able to work seamlessly across creative, strategy, production and client teams
  • Curious and constantly learning as platforms and best practice evolve
  • Proactive — brings ideas, doesn’t wait for direction
  • Confident making decisions and owning outcomes
  • Strong editorial instinct — can spot what’s on-brand, what’s off, and what will actually resonate
