TSM is a forward-looking independent music publisher with offices in Montreal and Los Angeles.
We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Accounting Manager in our Montreal office.
The Accounting Manager’s role is to oversee and execute all aspects of operations accounting, including cashflow management, payroll, and tax compliance.
Successful candidate should possess a deep understanding of full-cycle accounting.
This role is a full-time, permanent position. The Accounting Manager reports to the General Manager of the company.
Duties include:
· Process all AP and AR
· Daily bank reconciliations for domestic and foreign currency accounts
· Troubleshoot incoming and outgoing payments with banking partners, as required
· Weekly payment runs with an eye to cashflow priorities and compliance checks
· Update weekly cashflow forecasts
· Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
· Monthly GST/QST reporting
· Manage payroll and source deductions
· Ensure the accurate recording of journal entries, amortizations, and all other aspects of closing periods.
· Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality protocols on sensitive data
· Work in close collaboration with royalties and management teams for the preparation of financial statements.
Job requirements:
· Diploma in accounting or bookkeeping
· Experience in a similar field and in a company of comparable size;
· Highly developed sense of responsibility;
· Excellent attention to detail;
· Excellent numeracy skills;
· Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines;
· Ability to comply with complex procedures and create and implement new processes as required;
· Excellent communication and team spirit;
· Very good communication skills in English and French, preferred .
