Partisan Records is an award-winning independent record label, founded in Brooklyn in 2008 by its President, Tim Putnam. With a strong presence in the UK and a global operation, Partisan Records is now considered to be a leader in the independent sector. They have become known for breaking new alternative artists, achieving commercial success with Cigarettes After Sex, IDLES, Fontaines D.C. to more recently Ezra Collective and Blondshell. Simultaneously, the label has further strengthened its reputation by being a trusted partner for legacy catalogs from the likes of Fela Kuti, Cymande and DJ Rashad.
In addition, Partisan Records owns a music publishing company, Left Music, which operates as a separate, wholly owned entity with its own personnel and P&L. The group’s revenues and operations have grown substantially since its formation in 2020 and is heading into the next chapter of its growth.
