Light in the Attic is a U.S.-based independent record label, distribution company, and sync licensing house founded in 2001 in Seattle. The company is noted for its wide-reaching distribution arm, along with its lovingly restored archival releases from such artists as Lou Reed, Betty Davis, Donnie and Joe Emerson, Nancy Sinatra, Karen Dalton, Lee Hazlewood, Nancy Sinatra, Hiroshi Yoshimura, and Sly Stone, as well as deep compilations of archival recordings on Japanese city pop, country funk, and ambient music.
As a well established physical and digital distributor, LITA distributes over 100 record labels from around the globe, touching on countless genres – from long lost reissues to major Hollywood soundtracks. Over the past 25 years, the company has established itself worldwide as a standout, multi-GRAMMY®-nominated and multi-A2IM Libera Award-winning archival label. LITA is co-owned and operated by high school friends Matt Sullivan and Josh Wright.
