Ideal Profile: A qualified lawyer, from either an in-house or private practice background, with a solid understanding of copyright and moral rights and entertainment industry agreements
Required: a relevant degree in Law; mastery of legalese; four to five years of legal experience with (music/media) contracts; and a meticulous work ethic and approach
Required: Minimum 5 years of recorded music-related experience in a law firm and/or business/legal affairs department of a major music company, and a J.D. and California and/or Tennessee bar admission
Required: excellent drafting and communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to disseminate complicated legal and contractual principles to non-BA staff in a coherent and precise manner
Required: Qualified lawyer* with at least 8 years’ relevant experience and ideally at least least 4 of those years at a prominent record label, law firm, or in-house legal department handling music and intellectual property licensing transactions
Required: fully qualified and/or admitted to the appropriate bar to practice in your location, and have significant (5+ years) experience post-admission in a commercial legal role in either a law firm or with in-house experience in entertainment, media and technology with a focus on general and corporate law issues
Required: +5 years PQE with relevant in-house experience from a Major record label. Candidates with experiences at one of the large independent record labels and/or a top music/entertainment private practice law firm are welcome to apply also
Required: 10+ years of experience in senior roles drafting and negotiating agreements in the music industry, with varied scope, from company-side or law firm practice
Required: J.D. or LLM degree from an accredited law school and ability to practice law in New York. ideally at least 3-4 years of relevant law firm and/or in-house transactional experience, preferably in music publishing, with direct experience of, or a strong interest in, classical and contemporary classical music.
Required: fundamental comprehension and appreciation of technology and devices and 3+ years’ experience at a major law firm (preferably in IP or Corporate), along with a JD from a reputable school
