Zac Fox has been promoted to CEO at UK-headquartered concert promoter Kilimanjaro Live, succeeding company founder Stuart Galbraith.

Formerly Group COO, Fox will take over responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the business from Galbraith, who will focus on his duties as CEO and promoter of parent firm KMJ.

Fox, who began her music industry career at MCP Promotions in 1996, has worked at Kilimanjaro since it was established by Galbraith in 2008, and spent 12 years as Head of Operations at the company, which promotes acts such as Ed Sheeran, Gorillaz, Sam Fender, Ludovico Einaudi and Stereophonics.

“I truly believe that our current team is the strongest that we have had.”

She said: “I’m really excited to take on this new role. The Kili family (including our freelancers and suppliers) has been a massive part of my life for almost two decades and I truly believe that our current team is the strongest that we have had. I look forward to seeing what’s next for us all.”

Umbrella group KMJ Entertainment was launched by Galbraith in 2024, and now comprises multiple companies across concerts, festivals, ticketing, spoken word, comedy, immersive experiences, family and theatrical, selling a combined total of 4.5 million tickets a year.

Its brands include Regular Music, Singular, Fane, Flying Music, Gigantic, Myticket, Belladrum Festival, JAS Theatricals, FORM, Kontour, How To Academy and Arches London Bridge.

Germany’s DEAG acquired a 51% stake in Kilimanjaro in 2014.

Meanwhile, Jo Quillan, who has been working with the KMJ leadership team on a strategic review of the Group, has joined the KMJ Entertainment team permanently as Group Chief Operating Officer.

Quillan previously held COO and director roles at LW Entertainment (formerly the Really Useful Group), Wasserman, EMI and Sony Music, and will support operational strategy and group development.

In addition, Lucy Levitt has been promoted from Kilimanjaro Live Head of Business Development to Group Director of Commercial Operations. In her expanded role, she will work across the KMJ group, overseeing commercial strategy and operations.

“I am very confident that with these appointments we have the right structure for the next phase of our growth.”

KMJ says the trio of appointments reflect its ongoing commitment to strengthening its leadership team and positioning the group for its next phase of development.

“It’s important to me that we recognise internal talent and I’m delighted to be able to announce the promotions for Zac Fox and Lucy Levitt,” said Galbraith. “They have both worked alongside me for many years, helping to grow the group to where it is now. I look forward to seeing them continue to lead positive impacts on our development in their new positions.

“I am also delighted to welcome Jo Quillan to the company. She brings a wealth of business experience and a new perspective to our leadership team. I am very confident that with these appointments we have the right structure for the next phase of our growth.”Music Business Worldwide
