Wise Music Group acquires Italy-based publisher Baby Angel Music

Wise Music Group has acquired Italian indie publisher Baby Angel Music (BAM).

The BAM catalog contains over 15,000 songs, and has been built over a period of 25 years by Max Moroldo.

Moroldo will continue as a music publishing consultant and Head of A&R to Wise Music Italy.

BAM’s titles include Freed from Desire, originally recorded by the singer and songwriter Gala in 1996.

BAM also owns shares in international songs such as I Know You Want Me by Pitbull and Seek Bromance by Tim Berg aka Avicii.

Italian works within the BAM catalog include Occidentali’s Karma and Amen (Francesco Gabbani), Come Neve (Giorgia and Marco Mengoni), Credo (Giorgia), Potremmo Ritornare (Tiziano Ferro”), Crepe (Irama), and Il Coraggio di Andare (Laura Pausini and Biagio Antonacci).

 

The Music Sales Group rebranded itself to Wise Music Group in 2020, and owns the catalog of Italian composer Riziero ‘Riz’ Ortolani, legendary rock band The Zombies, and Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds.
