Warner’s ADA promotes trio in US

Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) Worldwide, Warner Music Group’s independent distribution and services arm, has promoted three key staff to bolster its label services offering.

Tyson Haller has been promoted to SVP, Promotion & Label Services, reporting to Kenny Weagly, President, A&R and Label Services, Worldwide.  David McGilvray has been promoted to VP, Promotion, and Laura Bender has been promoted to Senior Director, Promotion, Adult Formats.  Both report to Haller.

“Tyson and David oversee a team that has had incredible promotional success recently with Arctic Monkeys, Of Mice and Men, the Dead Weather and Lil Dicky,” said Eliah Seton, President of ADA Worldwide.

“Tyson, David, Laura and the entire team consistently deliver winning radio campaigns for our independent label partners.”

Haller will now oversee ADA’s full suite of label services in the US, including Radio Promotion, Video Promotion, Marketing, Publicity, and Online.

He arrived at WMG in 2004 from Virgin Records. Since joining ADA in 2012, Radio Promotion team highlights have included the #1 Alternative song of the year in 2014 with Arctic Monkeys (pictured), a #1 Active Rock hit with Stone Temple Pilots, multiple Top 10 Active Rock singles with Sevendust, and the successful launch of the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis campaign.

David McGilvray will oversee ADA’s Radio Promotion department including national format heads at the Alternative, Active Rock, Triple A, NonComm, Adult Contemporary, Hot AC, Top 40, Rhythmic, Urban, and Dance formats.

McGilvray recently joined the ADA team following 17 years at the Island Def Jam Music Group.  Recent ADA Promotion Department successes include a Top 5 single with Asking Alexandria, a career high Top 15 with Of Mice & Men, while Sevendust is currently Top 15 and climbing at rock.

The Dead Weather continues to climb the Alternative chart, where The Wombats and El Vy both just debuted.  Lil Dicky (feat. Fetty Wap and Rich Homie Quan) recently debuted at both the Rhythm and Urban formats while garnering some early Top 40 support as well.

Laura Bender will oversee the Adult Radio formats, including Triple A and NonComm, Adult Contemporary, and Hot AC.  Bender joined the ADA Radio Promotion department in 2014 after 14 years at Roadrunner / Atlantic.

Her recent highlights at Triple A and NonComm include Delta Rae, New Order, Jose Gonzalez, and Laura Marling.  She will be launching upcoming singles from the likes of Bonnie Raitt and Graham Nash in early 2016.Music Business Worldwide
