Warner Music’s global independent distribution division ADA has signed a host of new deals and partnerships with various Belgian and Dutch labels and artists.

ADA expanded into the Benelux market earlier this year with Sander Stijnen taking on the role of Head of ADA Benelux, A&R and Business Development.

Since then Stijnen and his team have landed deals with the likes of Big Top Amsterdam, Absolute P, BMKLTSCH RCRDS, Mattan Records, Noisesome Recordings, Out Of The Boks, Red Papula, Sancover and Waves Entertainment.

ADA Worldwide has expanded its global presence over the last few months with the launch of ADA Latin, ADA Asia and ADA Japan.

ADA Benelux and Big Top Amsterdam have worked together on German DJ duo Gamper & Dadoni’s single Bittersweet Symphony, which went gold in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

The label is owned by multi-platinum DJ and producer Bakermat who recently had a smash hit with his single Baiana, which has acheived more than a hundred million streams so far.

The extension of the deal will see the two companies continue to work closely together as Big Top Amsterdam starts to develop acts outside Europe.

The first non-European artist they’ll develop together is Brazilian act Rooftime, who has scored hits with local superstars such as Alok and Vintage Culture.

Absolute P is well-known for developing the careers of up and coming Belgian artists including Ilias, Ravn, Shane Hendrix, The Fourth Kingdom and Yoeri.

The label is currently enjoying huge success with Dina Ayada, the 16-year-old singer who is climbing the local charts with her debut single The Way, which became a radio hit with the support of MNM.

Amsterdam-based BMKLTSCH RCRDS was founded in 2009 by Mike Mago.

Mattan Records is a new independent label from Netherlands which has recently released the debut single, Two, by POM. The track is being used in a global campaign by fashion giant Zalando. It is also releasing the full-length debut by the upcoming Dutch indie band The Vices.

“We’ve partnered with some of the most important and influential independent labels and artists to help amplify the amazing music they create.”

Elsewhere, Noisesome Recordings has enjoyed success with the likes of High Hi, Mintzkov and Psycho44. As part of the new deal, ADA Benelux will be responsible for the global distribution for the full roster of artists.

Out Of The Boks is known for managing a wide range of artists, such as Mathieu Koss and The Overslept.

Red Papula is an independent record label, publishing company and artist management company founded in 2018. The label represents artists such as Mia Nicolai and Hoger, as well as management services for Naaz, Mia Nicolai and Renske.

Sancover is a new Belgian independent that focuses on commercial music. Recently released Sukesha Ray’s A Place We Never Knew.

Lastly, Waves Entertainment is a pop and hip-hop label founded by singer Oualid earlier this year after the success of his previous releases. The label’s first two releases – Big Bag by Oualid and Connerie by Lidia have both received significant DSP support in a number of international territories.

In addition to the label deals, ADA Benelux has also signed a number of key artists including diwa, Edwin Evers, Haris, Kimberly Fransens and Paceshifters.

diwa is the solo project by singer Diwa Meijman, who is known as the face of Amsterdam based band Darlyn. Her first single, He Forgot To Say Goodbye, will be released on November 27.

Edwin Evers is a legendary Dutch radio host. After hosting his show ‘Evers Staat Op’ for over 21 years, he is now pursuing a career as an artist. Evers released his debut single Het Gevoel last month.

Haris was the winner of the fifth season of X Factor and has released singles like Love Me To Pieces, Impress You and Shivers.  He had a global hit single when he featured on Lucas & Steve’s Perfect. His first single through ADA will be Bad, coming later this month.

Netherlands-born 28-year-old singer and artist Kimberly Fransens has released hits like Love You Better and Forgetting to remember and has collaborated with the likes of Yellow Claw and Julian Jordan. She has had releases on labels such as Powerhouse, 8ball Music, Armada, Cloud9, STMPD RCRDS, and Roc Nation.

Alternative rock band Paceshifters, meanwhile, have played key festivals such as Woodstock (Poland), Groezrock, Zwarte Cross, Pinkpop, Exit, Rock for People and SXSW.

Sander Stijnen, Head of ADA Benelux, said: “These new deals and signings really show our intent at ADA Benelux.

“We’ve partnered with some of the most important and influential independent labels and artists to help amplify the amazing music they create.

“ADA and the wider Warner Music teams have an incredible global network which we are tapping into and which will be instrumental in breaking these artists internationally.”Music Business Worldwide
