Warner Music France gives Nous Productions to Live Nation

[Update: This story previously reported that Warner Music France had sold Nous Productions to Live Nation. We’ve since been told the deal wasn’t a sell.]

Warner Music France has passed French concert promoter Nous Productions to Live Nation.

Nous will join Live Nation France from October 1, according to IQ.

Founded by Solomon Hazot in 2006, the Paris-based firm was bought by Warner in 2010.

The company continued to operate seperately, with Hazot remaining in charge.

It had a turnover of €21.6 million in 2015.

A WMG spokesperson told IQ that the deal will allow Warner Music France to concentrate on developing its concert business via its subsidiary Décibels Productions, that specialises in local artists.

Upcoming shows promoted by Nous include Killing Joke, Chance the Rapper and Pixies.

It was also involved in the Eagles of Death Metal concert at the Bataclan in Paris on November 13th, and has promoted artists including Iggy Pop (pictured), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Eyed Peas, Metallica and Robbie Williams.
