Warner/Chappell signs deal extension with Latin Grammy winner El Guincho

Pablo Diaz-Reixa (pictured), the Latin Grammy winner known as ‘El Guincho’, has signed a renewed worldwide deal with Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group.

The partnership will also cover any songwriters and producers that sign to Rico Publishing, El Guincho’s new production and publishing company.

El Guincho co-wrote and produced El Mal Querer, the album from Spanish superstar Rosalía that was a worldwide hit last year.

The album topped the charts in Spain, as well as taking the No.1 spot on the Billboard US Latin Pop Albums chart.

El Guincho is an artist, songwriter and producer who has emerged from the Canary Islands.

He has worked with a huge number of respected Latin artists, including Julieta Venegas from Mexico and Javiera Mena from Chile, as well as C Tangana and La Mala Rodríguez from Spain. He has also collaborated with Icelandic star Björk.

The first song written under this deal is Con Altur’, performed by Rosalia and featuring J Balvin and El Guincho himself.

It is currently at No.1 on the Spotify chart in Spain and No.45 on the global Spotify chart.
