Warner Chappell Music has signed an exclusive worldwide administration agreement with My Chemical Romance.
The deal, announced on Thursday (October 15), covers the band’s entire catalog and its future works.
Warner Chappell, the publishing arm of Warner Music Group, will oversee the catalog’s global rights administration, copyright protection, and sync licensing across film, television, and video games.
My Chemical Romance‘s catalog spans four studio albums: Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, The Black Parade, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, and I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.
The agreement expands the band’s relationship with Warner Records, which began in 2003, and its global merchandise partnership through WMG.
“We’re proud to expand our longtime partnership with this trailblazing band.”

“My Chemical Romance is a generational force,” said Robert Kyncl, CEO of Warner Music Group. “We’re proud to expand our longtime partnership with this trailblazing band as they continue winning new fans around the world.”
“Few bands have left as deep an imprint on modern rock culture as My Chemical Romance,” said Guy Moot, Chair and CEO of Warner Chappell Music. “Their music has not only redefined alternative rock for millions, but also continues to resonate, inspiring entirely new generations of fans, songwriters, and artists alike.
“They have built an indelible catalog, and our entire team is excited to welcome them to Warner Chappell and champion their extraordinary songs.”

My Chemical Romance was formed in New Jersey by Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, and Mikey Way.
The band announced a split in 2013 and reunited in 2019.
It has generated tens of billions of global streams, according to Warner Chappell, led by singles including Welcome to the Black Parade, Helena, I’m Not Okay (I Promise), Teenagers, and Famous Last Words.
The deal comes as catalog music claims a bigger share of streaming. Songs at least 10 years old accounted for 29.7% of all streams on Spotify‘s US Top 200 weekly charts in the first nine months of 2026 – around three times their share in 2024, according to MBW analysis.
The agreement comes during the band’s Black Parade 2026 stadium tour, which included three sold-out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium in July.
The band’s albums returned to the UK charts around those shows. Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys reached No. 1 and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge hit No. 2 on the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart, with The Black Parade also in the Top 10.
The tour is set to end with five nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles in October – a run the band has said will make it the first act to play five shows at the venue.
The dates coincide with the 20th anniversary of The Black Parade, which is being reissued in a deluxe edition on October 23.
The agreement adds another rock catalog to Warner Chappell, which acquired David Bowie’s song catalog for a reported $250 million in 2022, bringing his recorded and publishing rights together under WMG.
It is also the latest in a run of publishing deals for Warner Chappell, including a global partnership with French electronic company Kidding Aside in September, a renewed global agreement with two-time Grammy winner Laufey in April, and the signing of Grammy-winning songwriter Claudia Brant that same month.
Warner Chappell, which says its history dates back more than 200 years, publishes and administers works by David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Madonna, and Dua Lipa, among others.Music Business Worldwide
