Warner Chappell Music signs Grammy winner Claudia Brant to global publishing deal

Claudia Brant

Warner Chappell Music (WCM) has signed Argentine songwriter Claudia Brant to a global publishing deal, formalizing and expanding an existing relationship between the Grammy-winning writer and the company.

Brant, a Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, has built a career spanning four decades, with credits for artists including Luis FonsiRicky MartinMarc Anthony, and Camila Cabello, among others.

Her catalog is understood to include more than 4,000 songs across Latin pop and crossover markets.

The deal, announced on Wednesday (April 15), builds on Brant‘s more recent collaboration with Warner Chappell. In 2024, she launched Cha Cha Cha Publishing, a venture focused on developing emerging songwriters, in partnership with WCM, which provides global administration and creative support.

That venture has already signed a number of rising writers, including Colombian singer-songwriter Laura Prias, who was featured on Spotify‘s Songwriters to Watch 2026 list, and Agua Tinta (Alejandra Garcia Rosso), who according to the company earned nearly 30 cuts in her first year and was nominated for Best Regional Mexican Song at the 2025 Latin Grammys.

“Claudia is an artist and songwriter who never stops reinventing herself.”

Gustavo Menéndez, Warner Chappell Music

Gustavo Menéndez, President, U.S. Latin & Latin America at Warner Chappell Music, said: “After knowing each other for many years, and with the deep respect and admiration I have always had for her, I am very happy that we are finally working together.

“Claudia is an artist and songwriter who never stops reinventing herself, and that spirit of constant reinvention is what makes her as relevant today as ever.”

Brant said: “I’m so glad and honored to finally be a member of the Warner Chappell Publishing Company family. I love all teams in every country I have met so far, their creative energy is unstoppable, and that is something we definitely have in common.

“I’m sure we’ll make a great team. Gus Menéndez is a dear friend that goes full force and I want to be there with him, side by side, all the way.”

Brant won the Latin Grammy for Song of the Year in 2009 for Fonsi’s Aquí Estoy Yo, and took home the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album at the Grammy Awards for her album Sincera.

Her work with Fonsi on No Me Doy Por Vencido was named Billboard‘s Latin Pop Song of the Decade in the publication’s End of Decade report (2009), according to Warner Chappell, after the track spent a reported 21 consecutive weeks atop the Latin Pop Airplay chart.

“I’m sure we’ll make a great team. Gus Menéndez is a dear friend that goes full force and I want to be there with him, side by side, all the way.”

Beyond songwriting, Brant currently serves as National Trustee for The Recording Academy (LA chapter) and as an ASCAP Board Member. She is also Senior Vice President of the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame, which inducted her in 2016.

Through the Cha Cha Cha Publishing joint venture, WCM has also signed Fran Chandia, a songwriter focused on the licensing and sync market, and Santiago “Toto” Rovito, an Argentine singer-songwriter currently working on his debut single.

Brant‘s credits also include collaborations with Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello, Becky G, John Legend, Danny Elfman, Diane Warren, and David Foster, among others. She is a multi-year SESAC and ASCAP Latin Songwriter of the Year recipient.

The signing is the latest in a series of moves by Warner Chappell to expand its footprint in Latin music publishing. In October, WCM signed a global publishing deal with Rico o Muerto, the indie label co-founded by regional Mexican artist Oscar Maydon, and in January, the company hired David Checa as Managing Director of WCM Colombia.

Latin music as a category generated over $1 billion in US wholesale recorded music revenues in 2025, growing 4.2% year-over-year and outpacing the wider US market for the tenth consecutive year, according to the RIAA.Music Business Worldwide
