Warner Chappell Music signs global deal with songwriter and producer Sean Douglas

Warner Chappell Music has entered into an exclusive, worldwide publishing agreement with Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Sean Douglas.

Douglas’s numerous hits include Thomas Rhett’s RIAA 6x platinum smash, Die A Happy Man, which became one of the longest-running No.1 singles on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, winning BMI, CMA, and ACM awards.

He’s also achieved many other successes throughout his career, working with Demi Lovato on Sorry Not Sorry, Jason Derulo on Talk Dirty, David Guetta on Hey Mama, and many more accomplished artists.

Based in Los Angeles, Douglas has worked with many acclaimed artists across pop, country, dance, R&B, and hip-hop.

He co-wrote his first Top 10 single, Demi Lovato’s Heart Attack, in 2013, going on to pen hits for Jessie J (Said Too Much), Fifth Harmony (Sledgehammer), Nick Jonas (Champagne Problems and Levels), Chris Brown (Zero), Madonna (Ghosttown), Andy Grammer (Spaceship), The Chainsmokers (Who Do You Love ft. 5 Seconds of Summer), Kesha (Raising Hell), Lewis Capaldi (Forever), and Liam Payne (Familiar ft. J Balvin).

A close collaborator of Thomas Rhett’s, he’s been behind many of the country star’s hit albums, including Life Changes, which became the first country release of 2017 to top the Billboard 200 chart.

Most recently, he worked on Lizzo’s Like a Girl and Soulmate from her Grammy-winning album Cuz I Love You, as well as Sia’s Original and Selena Gomez’s Ring.

“I’ve known Sean for quite some time, and I’m constantly impressed by the expanding range and constant growth of his talent.”
