Warner Chappell Music renews partnership with hit songwriter Rick Boardman

Warner Chappell Music has renewed its partnership with multi-platinum-selling songwriter, Rick Boardman.

Boardman is the founder of Manchester-based songwriting collective The Six.

Having written songs that have received more than five billion streams on Spotify alone, Warner Chappell says Boardman stands as “one of the most prolific songwriters” worldwide.

Recognized for his frequent collaborations with the likes of Marshmello, he has co-penned global hits including Leave Before You Love Me featuring the Jonas Brothers, amassing over a billion streams, and Numb featuring Khalid, which has been streamed over 600 million times.

In addition, he is credited with co-writing Marshmello’s latest release, Dreaming, featuring Sting and P!nk.

Boardman has also written tracks for international artists including Louis Tomlinson and Bebe Rexha’s Back To You, which has surpassed more than a billion streams globally. He is also behind Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne’s hit Real Love and contributed to KSI and Tom Grennan’s Not Over Yet.

He is also credited on more than 60 songs for artists like Tom Grennan, Little Mix, Mimi Webb, and Khalid.

This year alone, he has contributed to chart-toppers like Lost Frequencies’ This Feeling (No.1 on the German airplay chart), Venbee & Rudimental, and Pnau & Empire of the Sun.

Boardman initially rose to fame as a member of the indie dance band Delphic, with their debut album Acolyte securing a spot in the Top 10 in 2010. In 2014, he founded the Manchester-based songwriting collective The Six, comprising fellow hitmakers Danny Casio, Pablo Navarro, Sarah Blanchard, David Straaf, and Sakima.

He is currently working on new music with French artist Jain and British singer Bea and Her Business.

“Since streaming became the dominant way to consume music, music has become more global, and subsequently I’ve taken a much more global approach to my writing.”

Working with the Warner Chappell team I hope to continue to collaborate with the world’s biggest artists and enjoy more global hits.”
