Roberto Razzini steps down as Warner Chappell Music Italy Managing Director

Warner Chappell Music Italy Managing Director Roberto Razzini has stepped down from his role after working with the music publisher for more than 30 years.

News of Razzini’s departure was announced via an internal memo today (July 7) and obtained by MBW.

The email, sent to WCM staff in Milan by Co-Chairs, Guy Moot, CEO, and Carianne Marshall, COO, states that Razzini “has decided it’s the right time to step down as MD of Warner Chappell Music Italy and take on new challenges”.

He’ll continue working with WCM until the end of August, the email added, with news on new leadership to be announced shortly.

Razzini joined WCM Italy in 1990 as a Product Manager and became Head of International in 1993.

He was then promoted to Editorial Director in 1996, before becoming Managng Director in 2002.

In their memo, Moot and Marshall write that Razzini has been “integral to building and maintaining our dominant market share in Italy”.

The added: “He’s supported a plethora of local talent, from Grammy-nominated Laura Pausini, rap superstars Tha Supreme and Lazza, to hitmakers Giulia Ananìa, Annalisa Scarrone, as well as top producer Sick Luke”.

We want to share some important news with you. Roberto Razzini, who has been with us for more than 30 years, has decided it’s the right time to step down as MD of Warner Chappell Music Italy and take on new challenges. He’ll be remaining with us until the end of August to help with the transition to new leadership, and there’ll be more on that shortly.
