Victor Zaraya promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Concord

Concord’s Victor Zaraya has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer from Chief Revenue Officer.

He will be based in Concord’s new midtown Manhattan office at 250 West 57th Street once it reopens and will report to Concord CEO Scott Pascucci.

Concord also announced today (January 19) that Ruth Martinez has been promoted to Chief People Officer at Concord.

Zaraya steps into the COO position previously held by Jim Selby, who was recently announced as Concord’s Chief Publishing Executive.

In his new role, Zaraya will work across all Concord businesses as part of the global leadership team.

He will directly oversee rights optimization, repertoire management, IT, royalty and licensing administration, distribution and D2C operations among other global strategic initiatives for Concord.

Zaraya has served as Concord’s Chief Revenue Officer since April of 2020 before which he spent 20 years growing what became one of the world’s largest independent music companies, Razor & Tie (including KIDZ BOP).

Serving in ever-progressing roles in that time, he steered the company through the transition from CDs into digital, launched a music publishing business, negotiated touring partnerships, licensing, distribution and marketing deals and established infrastructure and revenue models that stabilized and expanded the company’s business.

A founding member of the team that built KIDZ BOP, Zaraya helped to transform the brand from a CD compilation series into an integrated global brand that has sold over 22.5 million albums, generated 6.5 billion streams and played hundreds of live shows since the family-friendly music brand debuted in 2001.

Zaraya currently serves on the SoundExchange Board and has previously served on the board of the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) He is a founding Worldwide Independent Network (WIN) Council member.
