Vevo Artists To Watch 2022: Seori, Grip, Serious Klein, Brray

MBW’s round-up of this year’s Vevo DSCVR Artists To Watch list concludes with…

Seori

Cynthia Todd, Associate Manager, Talent Booking, said: “In a world where music is proving to be more about feeling and less about language barriers, Seori exemplifies what it means to be a universal storyteller. She lured us in with her debut project, ?depacse ohw, with themes of escapism executed seamlessly through both her Korean and English lyrics.

“Seori’s effortless ability to bring her words to life through her signature pop-influenced, R&B sound is such a breath of fresh air and we couldn’t be more ecstatic to have her in this year’s Artists to Watch class.”

Seori added: “It was such an honor to be on stage as one of Vevo’s 2022 DSCVR Artists to Watch. I was so excited throughout the whole time I was shooting, and was so proud of myself as an artist. I am looking forward to the future since I’ve started off with Vevo DSCVR.“

GRIP

Jordan Glickson, VP, Music & Talent, said: For the last few years around Atlanta, GRIP’s been honing his skills and building a name for himself – he’s a worker. Now, with a Shady Records alliance, the rest of the world is about to get a taste. On tracks such as At What Cost, he exhibits the lyricism and style that caught Eminem’s ear.”

GRIP added: “My experience shooting at the studio was just that, an experience. The entire crew was super professional, super hands on, made everything easy and comfortable for me.”

Serious Klein

Anna Allertz, Manager, Content & Programming, Germany, said: Serious Klein is really pushing the roots and the movement of being Black in Germany right now. With his powerful flow he brings a lot of lyrical depth into each of his songs and raps in English, because he likes to create for a global audience, not just Germany. We are excited to see what 2022 will bring for him.”

Serious Klein added: “I’m really grateful to be part of the Vevo ATW Campaign. Love to the whole Vevo team for supporting me and my art. It was a super cool experience shooting the content and meeting the people behind this.”

Brray

Gabriela Prisciandaro, Associate Director, Talent & Label Relations, said: “Brray’s unique voice mixed with his clever storytelling give him an undeniable flow. The beats are big and his voice is bigger. This Puerto Rican reggaetonero has the cred and an impressive list of features under his belt. We are looking forward to him having a standout year in 2022.”

Brray added: “I’m very honored to be part of Vevo DSCVR, a program that highlighted big artists like Pop Smoke, Jhay Cortez, Guaynaa and many others, very early on in their careers.”Music Business Worldwide
