Universal nabs Warner’s Samuel Arvidsson as Commercial Director in Sweden

Universal Music Sweden has named Samuel Arvidsson as its new Commercial Director.

Arvidsson moves over from his role as Head of Digital Sales at Warner Music Sweden, where he spent the past two years.

In his new role, which began this week, the exec will have overall responsibility for Universal Sweden’s Digital Marketing & Sales and Radio division.

Arvidsson will report into Joakim Johansson, UMG Sweden’s General Manager and Marketing Manager.

Prior to Warner, Arvidsson spent over two years at EMI Music Sweden as Head Of Marketing.

That followed four years in London working in Digital Sales and Account Management at Sony Music – with EMEA responsibility for Spotify, Vevo, YouTube, Vodafone, Nokia, MTV, Deezer, Sony, Sony Ericsson and morre.

Arvidsson’s career in music began at at BMG – which effectively became Sony Music – where he was Head Of Radio in 2001.
