Universal Music Turkey (UMT), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), has signed Anıl Piyanci (pictured, left) and Lil Zey (pictured, right) – two of the country’s fastest-rising domestic hip-hop stars.
Since the release of his debut album in 2013, Anıl Piyanci has opened for Wiz Khalifa, Future and J Balvin at their local shows, and is one of the most streamed domestic rappers in Turkey, with over 1.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone.
Piyanci is also the founder of Yeşil Oda, one of the first rap music studios in Turkey and has played a significant role in the growth of Turkey’s hip-hop culture and the careers of many local rappers.
Anıl’s first single for UMT, En Büyüğü, is available now.
Making a name for herself in Turkey’s Trap scene, rapper, singer and DJ, Lil Zey kick-started her career in music after graduating from Boston’s Berklee College of Music, when she spent time in Atlanta interning for RedZone Entertainment with Grammy award-winning record producers, Tricky Stewart and Terius ‘The Dream’ Nash.
A rising star on the festival circuit, Zey has performed at multiple live events across the country including Red Bull Music Festival and Zorlu PSM’s Thug Life & Mix Fests.
Lil Zey’s debut single via UMT is due June 2020.
