UK’s MMF teams up with Ally McCrae & Sophie Paluch on AWAL-supported music management podcast series

Ally McCrae (BBC producer and manager of Old Sea Brigade and Prides) and Sophie Paluch (Blueprint Pods & Radio/San Remo) have launched a new 10-part podcast series, aiming to delve into the secrets and art of music management.

Produced in partnership with the Music Managers Forum (MMF), and sponsored and supported by AWAL, Kobalt‘s recording company, the first episode features an hour-long interview with The 1975 manager and Dirty Hit Founder Jamie Oborne.

Subsequent episodes, which will be made available every two weeks, promise interviews with a diverse selection of both established and upcoming managers across all genres.

Topics explored range from approaches to business, advice on breaking new acts, and personal highlights and lowpoints.

“The goal of these podcasts is simple. We wanted to get inside the minds of the most innovative and respected music managers on the planet.”

“We want to find out what makes them tick, what goes on behind the scenes, and the secrets of their success.

“But we wanted to do it in a low-key, intimate and informative way. How Did You Manage That? is like an hour down the pub, in the company of the most inspirational individuals in contemporary music.”

“We’re both hugely indebted for the support of both AWAL and the MMF to make this podcast happen.”
