Uber’s former Head of Music Zach Zimmerman launches artist management firm, ZTZ Entertainment

Los Angeles-based music, brand and entertainment executive Zach Zimmerman has launched an artist management company called ZTZ Entertainment, which will focus on ‘artist-first methods of funding and marketing developing talent’.

Prior to founding ZTZ, Zimmerman spent more than five years at Uber, most recently as Global Head of Music and Entertainment.

Zimmerman, who is CEO and founder of the new venture, oversees a roster that at launch includes dance music producer/DJ and Mind of a Genius label founder David Dann; pop singer/songwriter Chloe Gilligan and electronic musician and producer Eddie Sears’ Rocket Pengwin project.

During his time with Uber, he oversaw strategy, management and execution of an eight-figure portfolio of investments and partnerships that reached over 30 million music fans.

Notable projects include partnerships with artists like Billie Eilish, Khalid, Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and Lil Nas X, as well as brokering and executing a multi-year deal with Live Nation that spanned 10 countries and 100+ properties.

All three artists currently signed to ZTZ are set to release new music in the coming months through various distribution partners, including Rocket Pengwin’s debut project Planet Earth, which is set for release on April 24 (via Ultra Records.)

“Today’s modern music marketplace can be very complex, so I want to empower each of my clients with tools and talent-friendly deals that can help them become career artists.”

“No one has a better connection to their fans than artists, and I’m thrilled to be working with three unique talents who share my entrepreneurial spirit and crystal-clear vision for what they want to accomplish,” says ZTZ Entertainment founder and CEO Zach Zimmerrman.

“Today’s modern music marketplace can be very complex, so I want to empower each of my clients with tools and talent-friendly deals that can help them become career artists.

“And above all else, I’m the biggest fan of each of them as musicians, so I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to roll up my sleeves on both the development of their art and businesses as performing artists.”
