B2B music streaming technology provider Tuned Global has acquired Figaro.ai, a London-based audio AI company developed by FeedForward that specializes in music catalog search and discovery technology.

The deal marks Tuned Global’s latest AI-related acquisition, following the company’s acquisition of Swedish music technology company Pacemaker, including its AI-driven DJ applications, in 2023.

Pacemaker powered the launch of Tuned Global’s Social Radio in November 2024. The company upgraded Social Radio in June of this year with a real-time tipping feature.

The latest deal brings Figaro’s audio intelligence tech into Tuned Global‘s existing platform, which offers cloud-based infrastructure for businesses building their own streaming services and apps. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Figaro’s technology is said to enhance music catalogs’ searchability through automated tagging and content detection. The system is being used across sync, DSPs, UGC, and distribution.

Following the acquisition, Tuned Global stated that existing Figaro customers will continue to receive support, with access to expanded resources. The combined platform will operate as an open ecosystem, with Figaro functioning as a distinct component alongside other services and third-party partners.

Lydia Gregory and Kevin Webster, who founded Figaro, will join Tuned Global along with their team.

“With Figaro.ai joining the platform, we’re not only expanding that ecosystem with cutting-edge technology but also welcoming a highly skilled team whose expertise strengthens our ability to deliver music experiences that are powerful, flexible and future-ready.”
