Production company ThreeDee Music Ltd. ThreeDee Music and TuneCore Germany have entered into a partnership for Dolby Atmos productions.

According to a press release announcing the collaboration, via “access to physical studios”, TuneCore artists will have the opportunity to “produce and publish their songs in Dolby Atmos under special conditions”.

This partnership between ThreeDee Music and TuneCore Germany enables independent artists to release their tracks in Dolby Atmos through Apple Music.

This news marks the latest partnership for ThreeDee Music, after People Want To Dance (PWTD), a Hamburg-based dance label founded by former Warner Music MD Andreas Weitkämper and Ekki Klages, partnered with the company earlier this month.

The partnership between PWTD and ThreeDee Music came just a month after the latter company signed a deal with Universal Music Germany to produce mixes using Universal Music’s catalog.

These deals arrive alongside the rise of Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio in the music industry.

Apple Music started offering Lossless Audio and Spatial Audio with support for Dolby Atmos on its platform at no additional cost in 2021.

Last year, Mercedes-Benz formed a partnership with Universal Music Group and Apple Music for its cars to offer Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos from Apple Music natively in a vehicle.

“Through our cooperation we are now able to support independent artists to present their songs in a completely new format and to wow their fans with an immersive listening experience, a feat which until now was reserved for major acts only.”

“Through our cooperation we are now able to support independent artists to present their songs in a completely new format and to wow their fans with an immersive listening experience, a feat which until now was reserved for major acts only.”

“We firmly believe that independent artists should have access to the latest technologies to present their music on the highest level possible.”

Colin Eger, TuneCore Germany

Colin Eger, Head of TuneCore Germany, added: “We firmly believe that independent artists should have access to the latest technologies to present their music on the highest level possible.

“Through our collaboration with ThreeDee Music, all TuneCore artists in Germany, Austria and Switzerland obtain Dolby Atmos mixes at attractive rates. We are thrilled to offer our artists these new creative opportunities and we are looking forward to this great collaboration.”
