Troy Carter’s Q&A hires Spotify and Facebook veterans Phillip Eubanks and Marc Hemeon

Artist services company Q&A has appointed Phillip Eubanks (pictured right) as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Marc Hemeon (pictured left) as Head of Design.

Eubanks and Hemeon join the company’s team that already includes Troy Carter, J. Erving (Human Re Sources, Atom Factory), Suzy Ryoo (Atom Factory, OMD) and Tim Luckow (Stem, GHouse) who recently moved to the role of Chief Product Officer. 

Carter, formerly Spotify’s Global Head of Creator Services, launched Q&A in partnership with J.Erving in April.

Prior to joining Q&A, Eubanks spent six years at Spotify, most recently as the Global Head of Strategy & Operations for the Creator Services Division, working closely with Carter, Spotify’s then Global Head of Creator Services, to rebuild the music streaming company’s Creator Services division, opening itself to the creative community and enabling more opportunity for content creators.

He also led Spotify’s Commercial Partnerships division managing the operational relationships to Universal, Sony, Warner, and Merlin.

Earlier in his time at Spotify, he also worked across Premium Growth, Business Development & Partnerships, and Content Management.

Hemeon joins Q&A from Facebook AI where he worked to design and conceptualize emerging products and technologies.

He was also the Founder and CEO of Design Inc., a service to help companies find and work with amazing designers.

In addition, Hemeon co-founded a number of companies including North Technologies which merged with Hodinkee.com as well as fflick, which YouTube acquired in 2011.

Following the acquisition, he was part of the sitewide redesign team for YouTube and led design for a number of initiatives including YouTube Player and YouTube TV.
