Tilmann Richter joins Sony Music Germany as Vice President Live Ventures

Tilmann Richter has joined Sony Music Entertainment GSA (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) as its Vice President Live Ventures.

Richter will lead Sony Music’s live division and the development of live and concert campaigns for Sony Music artists and brands across the three European countries.

Sony Music says Richter’s newly created position will include “intensifying the collaboration and creating synergies” with the live entertainment holding company Ibrahim & Boldt, founded by co-MDs Ronny Boldt and Massimo Ibrahim in Berlin.

Richter’s appointment comes just days after Sony Music invested in Ibrahim & Boldt, as well as the independent hip hop record label Ragucci & Boldt, and two years since Sony pledged to make a major hip-hop move in Germany.

Richter brings over 20 years of live industry experience to the role.

Starting as a local promoter in Berlin, Richter has held several senior positions with music companies, tour and concert promoters, most recently with FKP Scorpio concert productions.

From 2012 to 2019, he led Universal Music‘s live division as Director Live Services, where he was responsible for the company’s commercial live activities and interests in Germany across all labels.
