Theresa Adebiyi joins Troy Carter’s Venice as Director, Audience and Culture

Theresa Adebiyi has joined music and technology platform Venice, Q&A’s newly-launched software division.

Launched by Troy Carter and Suzy Ryoo in December 2020, the company says it will “enable record labels to beta test songs, manage their artist rosters, and distribute music easily and efficiently”.

London-based Adebiyi joins Matt Ott, who heads up the UK division and works globally as VP, Artist Development and Strategy across the company.

Adebiyi joins the company from Partisan Records where she was Creative Director and Project Manager, working on global album campaigns and executing creative direction and content.

Partisan’s roster includes Grammy nominated artists Fontaines D.C and Laura Marling, IDLES, Femi Kuti, Made Kuti, Cigarettes After Sex and more.

Prior to that, she spent four years at Ninja Tune as their Creative Marketing Manager, working on campaigns for the likes of Young Fathers, Little Dragon, Maribou State, Cinematic Orchestra, Jordan Rakei, Actress, Roots Manuva.

For five years prior she was Label Manager at Lex Records which released a broad range of music and film projects such as MF DOOM x Clarks Originals, BADBADNOTGOOD & Ghostface Killah’s Sour Soul album, and writer Alan Moore and director Mitch Jenkins film series The Show supported in part by Creators Project / Vice.
